Metronome is a free online tool that allows you to use a metronome on a site. You can set detailed settings such as "tempo", "beat", "tone", and "training mode".

How to Use

  1. Set "Tempo", "Time Signature", "Sound", "Training Mode", etc.
  2. Click "Start".
  3. The metronome will begin.
  4. Click "Stop".

Metronome Usage Guide

Basic Operation Flow

1. Set the Metronome Tempo

The central number (BPM: Beats Per Minute) indicates the tempo.
Example: BPM 120 → 120 clicks per minute.
Use "+1 / -1" or "+10 / -10" buttons for fine adjustments.
Adjust to your practice tempo while watching the tempo display.

2. Set the Time Signature (Beats and Note Value)

Time signature is set with two numbers:
• Top: Number of beats (beats per measure) → Example: "4" for 4/4 time
• Bottom: Note value → Typically "4" (quarter note), or "2"/"8" as needed
Example: "4 / 4" for 4/4 time, "6 / 8" for 6/8 time

3. Start/Stop the Metronome

Click "Start" to begin click sounds and beat display.
Click "Stop" to pause.
Restarting will resume with the latest settings.

4. Select Sound

Choose from "Sound" and "Accent Sound" options.
Standard click → "Click sound"
More musical feel → "Wood block" or "Drum"
The downbeat (first beat) can have a different sound.

5. Adjust Volume

Use the "Volume slider" to adjust to preferred level.
Current volume is displayed as a percentage for clarity.

Advanced Features

6. Tap to Measure Tempo

Tap the "Tap" button multiple times in rhythm with music to automatically calculate tempo (BPM).
Example: Tap 5 times with the music → BPM is calculated from average interval
Useful for intuitively determining tempo.

7. Using Training Mode (Gradual Tempo Increase)

Check "Training Mode" to reveal settings:
Configure these parameters:
