BMI Calculator
BMI Calculator is a tool that allows you to calculate your BMI. Just by entering your height and weight, you can calculate BMI, BMI prime, obesity degree, ponderal index, standard weight, difference from standard weight, etc.
How to use
1) Enter the height and weight you want to check.
2) Displays BMI, BMI prime, obesity degree, ponderal index, standard weight, and difference from standard weight.
What is BMI
BMI (Body Mass Index), also known as ``body mass index'' in Japanese, is a body mass index that expresses ``a person's degree of obesity'' calculated from the relationship between weight and height. The unit of BMI is "kg/m2". The same BMI is used in the same calculations for both men and women.
BMI calculation result
- BMI: BMI number
- Obesity level: Obesity level according to the standards of the Japan Obesity Society
- BMI Prime: An index common in Europe and America that shows the percentage of BMI when healthy (23 for Asians and 25 for Westerners). 1 is appropriate
- Ponderal index: An index calculated from weight and height (kg/㎥). Used to understand the balance of the baby's physique
- Standard weight: Weight based on BMI22
- Difference from standard weight: Difference between standard weight and entered weight
- Healthy BMI range: normal weight BMI range according to the Japanese Obesity Society standards
- Healthy weight range: normal weight range according to the standards of the Japan Obesity Society
BMI calculation method
- BMI (kg/㎥) = Weight (kg) / (Height (m))²
- BMI Prime = BMI / Standard BMI (23 for Asians, 25 for Westerners)
- Ponderal index I (kg/㎥) = Weight (kg) / (Height (m))³
