nslookup tool/DNS server confirmation is a site that provides tools that allow you to check nslookup on a website. You can check by reverse nslookup and setting options without having to enter any commands. You can also check the DNS server connection by specifying an NS record.

How to use

1) Enter the IP address, domain, and URL you want to check. If you have more than one, you can enter them in list format.
2) If a DNS server is specified, enter it. *By default, "google's DNS server (8.8.8.8)" is used.
3) Specify options according to the information you want to check with nslookup.
4) Click on the "Search" button and the results will be displayed according to the nslookup command.

Nslookup Options

  • ANY: Option to check all information
  • A (forward lookup): Option to check the IP address for the domain name (host name)
  • AAAA (forward lookup): Option to check the IP address for the host name like the A record
  • NS: Option to check name servers
  • CNAME: Option to check alternative names of domain name (host name)
  • SOA: Option to look up administrative information for a domain, such as the name of the name server that holds the underlying data for the zone file and the administrator's email address.
  • PTR (reverse lookup): Option to check domain name (host name) against IP address
  • MX: Option to check the domain name of the mail delivery host and its delivery priority.
  • TXT: Option to examine text information associated with a domain name (host name)
  • Debug mode: By turning on debug mode, you can view detailed information about the packets sent to the server and the resulting answers.
